Ballantyne Mackay Consultants

Fiona Ballantyne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of the Market Research Society. She has 25 years management experience as a director, a consultant and as a marketing and market research manager in both the public and private sectors. Fiona began her career in industry as a marketing specialist with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Thistle Hotels and Nairn Floors before joining the Scottish Development Agency where she became the Director for Tayside and Fife.

Sixteen years ago, she established Ballantyne Mackay Consultants and has specialised in customer and business-to-business research, and strategic marketing. She has developed an area of specialisation in developing a marketing culture within public sector organisations and the not-for-profit sectors. Fiona has considerable experience of both the arts sector and the education sector, not only through consultancy work, but also through representation on the boards of arts organisations and education institutions.

In addition to running her own consultancy business, Fiona represents Scotland on the Ofcom Consumer Panel, is a board member of Edinburgh Printmakers, a board member of the Scottish Museums Council and a member of the Scotland Committee of the Institute of Directors.
